Yogatarian was founded by Amanda Levett, who created a unique practice called 'Touch Yoga.' Amanda is a firm believer in a preventative health model that aims to restore balance within the body. She advocates living a life of presence, and each individual actively participates in their own wellness journey.
Touch Yoga draws primarily from ancient practices such as hatha yoga, fingertip medicine, breathing techniques, meditation, and energetic awareness to promote balance and harmony in all areas of life, reflecting the belief that everything we need resides within us.
Amanda has many years of experiential practice and learning in various holistic healing modalities, from Chinese Medicine to Yoga Therapy, and is motivated by a deep desire to promote self-healing for everyone.
Over time, Amanda realised that life has become increasingly complex and busy, leaving little time for lengthy and intricate practices. This realisation sparked the birth of Touch Yoga, accessible wellness practices designed to be incorporated into any part of the day. It emphasises simplicity and consistency, making it easy for individuals to prioritise their wellbeing and honour the inherent wisdom of the body.
